Trolleybus MAZ-ETON T203

The MAZ-ETON T203 trolleybus is a low-floor trolleybus designed to carry passengers on urban routes. This model was developed on the basis of the MAZ 203 bus body with the installation of a set of electrical equipment.

The passenger compartment of the trolleybus has increased comfort for passengers, which is ensured by the presence of specially equipped places for people with limited mobility, the equipment of the middle door with a platform for the possibility of access to the passenger compartment in wheelchairs and the presence of a volume storage platform that allows placing baby carriages and other bulky items.

At the request of the Customer, this model of trolleybuses is equipped with additional options, including: on-board computer; air conditioning of the driver's cab and passenger compartment; satellite navigation GLONASS/GPS; modern integrated information system; video surveillance system designed specifically for transport; Wi-Fi router with built-in modem with wireless data transfer technology; portable charger (USB sockets); retractable ramp for people with limited mobility; there is a place specially equipped with additional handrails and seat belts for disabled people in wheelchairs and other equipment.

All wheels of the MAZ-ETON T203 trolleybus are equipped with pneumatic disc brakes, which significantly increases the braking efficiency and also increases the service life of the braking system.

 

The electronically controlled air suspension gives additional stability to the vehicle, allows for a dynamic change in ground clearance, as well as lowering the trolleybus body at stopping points (kneeling function).

 

The traction motor control system is transistor or thyristor-pulse, which has the following features and advantages:

- energy saving by 25...30% in comparison with contactor-resistor systems;

- smooth stepless speed control, which allows to increase the service life of the traction motor and transmission of the trolleybus, to increase the comfort of passengers;

- providing electric braking by the traction motor up to a speed of 2...3 km/h even in the absence of voltage in the contact network;

- movement at any polarity of voltage in the contact network, while switching the polarity is automatic;

- changing the direction of movement (switching in the anchor chain of the traction motor) is carried out remotely using an electromechanical reverser;

- currentless switching of contactors;

- microprocessor control system, which can monitor all parameters of the traction drive, as well as record them in memory;

- self-diagnosis with the output of light and sound information on the control unit panel and instrument panel in the driver's cab;

- high-speed electronic protection against undervoltage or overvoltage of the contact network, overloads and short circuits, erroneous actions of the driver.

 

            The pneumatic drive of the boom catcher system ensures automatic lowering of the rods when they leave the contact wire and subsequent fixation along the axis of the trolleybus, as well as forced lowering of the rods from the driver's cab.

 

The on-board computer installed in the trolleybus is capable of declaring the names of stops without driver intervention and displaying their names on a scoreboard located inside the passenger compartment. Information about the state of the trolleybus systems and the operation of the traction drive is displayed on the on-board computer display at the request of the driver. GPS navigation allows the dispatcher to track the location of the trolleybus on the route. When approaching the dispatcher station, the on-board computer is able to transmit all the necessary information about the parameters of the trolleybus movement.

 

Passenger safety is ensured by a device for continuous monitoring of leakage currents together with a microprocessor system for monitoring the resistance of insulation steps of all high-voltage electrical equipment.
